Steve Dzurec donated proceeds from his 12th annual volleyball tournament, held at his parents' cottage in Richfield, Ohio - $275! Thank you!

Under the leadership of Captain Jeff Suchy, Team Waldheger participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk for the third consecutive year. Team Waldheger raised over $2,550 and continued to make an impact on all at the event. Thanks to all who helped promote Ryan's legacy.

Jody & Jamie Butler, Nancy & Ralph Rocco, Lou Ann & Charles Kutina, Kathy & Dave Huffman, and Christy & Paul Stark cohosted a third annual summer Wine Tasting to benefit RWRM. Sponsors included Robin Moodley (Wine Shop at Home), Theresa Sandhu, Stanton Jewelers, Minotti's Wine & Liquor (Westlake), Fahrenheit Restaurant (Tremont), 87 West Wine Bar (Crocker Park), and Waldheger Coyne. Donations exceeded $10,000!

For the third straight year, Steve Dzurec contributed the proceeds of a team sporting event to RWRM, in a check totalling $261! Thanks again Steve and players, from RWRM!

Beckie (Lesjak) Walton of Cleveland, Ohio participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training’s P.F. Chang Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon (Phoenix-Tempe).
November 29, 2008, Time Warp Bar, Westlake, Ohio
200 enthusiastic guests turned out for the Ryan Waldheger Research Memorial Wii Fishing Tournament. After several hours of intense competition, trophies were awarded to Michael Rocco (1st Place) and Adam Waldheger (2nd Place). Fishing was only part of the fun as guests enjoyed delicious food donated by Cleats of Westlake, K&K Portage Market, Inc., Lobster Brothers, Sweet Basil, and Winking Lizard – Avon.
Proceeds from this fun event will be used to provide University Hospitals of Cleveland four Wii systems (generously donated by Dr. Tim Bizga), Wii games, flat screen TVs, and mobile carts for the enjoyment of young adult cancer patients and their families and friends.

Team Waldheger, led again by Captain Jeff Suchy of Columbus, Ohio participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk in memory of Ryan. Cleveland Indians pitcher and 2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee and his wife Kristen were honorary chairpersons of the event. $4,387 was raised by Team Waldheger.

September 15, 2008, Red Tail Golf Club, Avon Lake, OH
Lesjak Planning Corporation donated the proceeds from their 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic to RWRM. The event raised $5,000, a sum that was publicly presented to RWRM director Michael P. Coyne at the event’s closing presentation.

Steve Dzurec contributed the proceeds of his annual "Richfield Invitational" volleyball tournament to RWRM. He also donated funds raised by his Lakewood (OH) rec basketball team's guest bartending night (Around The Corner Tavern, sponsor), for a total of $669. Go Steve and players!

Mindy Rickert participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Nautica New York City Triathlon in Ryan’s memory. Mindy raised over $2,700 for the Society.
May 29, 2008, Westlake, OH
Paul and Christy Stark, Nancy and Mike Rodeno, and Kathy and Dave Huffman hosted a Wine Tasting Open House to benefit RWRM. Wine donations were provided by Wine Shop at Home Independent Wine Consultant Robin Moodley, Constellation Wines, and the hosts. Donations, including anticipated matched gifts from several companies, total $6,425.
April 26, 2008, Nashville, TN
Ellen Ludwig, Jane Tomlinson, and Nikki Varveris ran the 13.1 mile Country Music half-marathon in honor of Ryan. Jane, Ellen, and Nikki raised $1,725 for RWRM through letters and from their happy hour fundraiser event in Chicago.

Ellen Ludwig, Jane Tomlinson, and Nikke Varveris hosted a happy hour at Victory Liquours in Chicago, IL. The happy hour was a fundraising event for the Country Music half marathon in Nashville, TN on April 26, 2008, to support cancer research.
January 13, 2008, Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL
Craig Mosier of New York City ran The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Walt Disney World Marathon in memory of Ryan. Craig raised $4,445 for the Society’s blood cancer research and patient assistance programs.
September 28, 2007, Jacobs Field, Cleveland, OH
Team Waldheger, led by Captain Jeff Suchy of Columbus, Ohio, participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk in memory of Ryan. Team Waldheger raised over $6,000.
