Welcome to The Ryan Waldheger Research Memorial Foundation website.
We’d like to share with you some amazing memories of Ryan Waldheger, who bravely battled Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) for over 11 years. Ryan felt fortunate that he received excellent medical care and the unwavering support of many, but he also thought he fell into an age group that did not receive enough focus from the oncology community. Before Ryan passed away April 28, 2007 at the age of 28, he asked that his family, friends, and many trusted medical advisors and caregivers come together to improve cancer care, specifically for adolescents and young adults. Ryan suggested a name for the organization, The Ryan Waldheger Research Memorial, and a foundation was established by his family in the summer of 2007.
